The exercise video won't play

Videos are streamed from Vimeo, a video service — when one won't start, work through this list in order. For most people one of the first three fixes it:

  1. Refresh the page. On a computer press F5 or Ctrl+R / Cmd+R; on a phone pull the page downwards until it reloads.
  2. Test your internet. Open any other website. If nothing loads, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and try again.
  3. Turn off ad-blockers and "privacy protection". Extensions like uBlock, AdGuard, Ghostery — and the built-in Shields in the Brave browser — regularly block the video player itself. Allow this site, reload, try again.
  4. Try another browser. If the video works in Chrome but not Safari (or vice versa), a setting or extension in the first browser is the culprit.
  5. Try another device. Works on your phone but not the computer? The program is fine; the problem is local to that computer.
  6. On a work or hospital network? Institutional firewalls sometimes block Vimeo entirely. If videos work at home and on mobile data but not there, that network is the cause.
  7. Restart the browser — fully close it (on a phone, swipe it away from recent apps) and log back in.
  8. Update your browser. Very old versions can't play modern video.

Still black?

Open a support ticket below and attach a screenshot of the player, plus which device and browser you're on (e.g. "iPhone, Safari"). With a screenshot we can usually diagnose it on the first reply.
